Celebrating the 79th independence Day at Mahatma Gandhi Govt School, Kasba Dehra

“Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living?” These words by Mahatma Gandhi remind us why Independence Day is one of the most cherished occasions in India. On 15th August 2025, Mahatma Gandhi Govt School in Kasba Dehra, Umren, Alwar, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and devotion. 

The celebrations began with the flag hoisting ceremony, a moment that filled every heart with pride. The principal of the school Mr. Rajesh Yadav and Sarpanch Mr. Bheem Singh Jonwal  hoisted the national flag, while the students, teachers, and staff stood respectfully and sang the national anthem. The sight of the tricolor fluttering high in the sky was truly inspiring, reminding everyone of the hard-earned freedom of our country.

Following the flag hoisting, the students showcased their talents through patriotic songs. The melodious voices of the young singers echoed throughout the school, instilling a sense of pride and love for the nation. Each song carried messages of unity, courage, and dedication, leaving the audience deeply moved.

The event also included cultural performances by the students. Each act was carefully prepared, and the students performed with confidence and enthusiasm, earning applause and appreciation from everyone present. The guests appericiated the performances by giving the gifts to the students. 

A special feature of the celebration was the presence of the chief guest Mr. Bheem Singh Jonwal, who addressed the students and staff. The chief guest spoke about the importance of Independence Day and encouraged the students to work hard, stay disciplined, and contribute positively to society.

The event concluded with the students taking a pledge to uphold the values of honesty, unity, and responsibility, and to respect the principles of democracy. The principal and staff congratulated the students for their excellent performances and thanked everyone for making the celebration memorable.

As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Events like these remind us that freedom is a treasure that must be cherished, respected, and safeguarded for generations to come.
